Remember the day,
I used to cry for a single name.
A name, so strange, hardly ever heard.
My lips used to tie them up within.
But, one day,
My tongue spelled it out.
Days ago, and hardly anyone noticed.
My lips were embarrassed by the way it moved.
I am remembering those days,
I used to cry, pray, curse for a single name.
Days followed, and I have forgotten the prayers, curses and the cries.
My lips don't remember the way it moved.
Remembering those days,
I have forgotten the plays of name.
Day to day, hardly one notices,
how my lips have lost the shame.
